Position Summary:

The Education Assistant functions as a member of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation Education team. This position will coordinate and manage a wide variety of duties that support and impact the residents, fellows, medical students, and faculty of the department. The incumbent will work collaboratively and collegially with residents, fellows, medical students, faculty and staff. The incumbent will work to ensure that the programs comply with regulations set forth by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics Graduate Medical Education (UWHC GME) office. This position provides high-level administrative support to all training programs, recruitment, onboarding, and off boarding.

This position requires an individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational skills, careful attention to detail, the ability to work as a team player and the capability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced and often stressful environment. Well-developed assessment skills and decision-making abilities and judgment are required. Position necessitates the incumbent possess the ability to maintain a professional manner at all times and provide excellent customer service.
