Job Summary
The Studio Arts Technician will support the department of Fine Art, Photo & Film by multi-tasking many responsibilities, including but not limited to, taking a significant role in the smooth operation of the painting & drawing facilities in the Fine Arts & Design Studios at JCCC. Duties include supervising open lab hours, managing inventory, equipment maintenance, maintaining labs and studios, assisting students, staff & faculty, and assisting with installing and de-installing exhibitions.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Clerical & organizational skills
Evidence of reliability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively work with a diverse population
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills and familiarity with office suite software
Familiarity with Adobe Suite CC software
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in fine arts or related field
