The College of the Liberal Arts Undergraduate Studies Office at The Pennsylvania State University seeks an innovative leader for the position of Director of the Roz and Gene Chaiken Center for Student Success. The Center is a new initiative for the College and the inaugural director will lead strategic planning and implementation for the Center's stated goal of improving student learning, career readiness, engagement with the University, and academic success. The Director will be responsible for planning and establishing the Center, its vision and direction, and implementation of all activities. The Director will report directly to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the College of the Liberal Arts (LAUS) and be a member of the LAUS senior staff, but will also have a dotted line to the Dean. The Director will refer and connect students to existing College and University services that meet students' needs in academic, emotional, and financial areas. The Director will also collaborate with other members of the Associate Dean's senior staff, including the Director of Advising, the Director of the Career Enrichment Network, and the College's Academic Recovery Specialist. The Director will be responsible for managing the Chaiken Center for Student Success budget.

In addition, the Director will provide leadership and support for equity and inclusion and serve as a strong advocate for student success initiatives as a part of ensuring access and affordability in public higher education.
