Position Summary:
Arkansas State University- Jonesboro is currently accepting application for the position of Assistant Professor Physical Therapy in the College of Nursing and Health Professions (CNHP). The position is Full-Time (9-month) tenure-eligible in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Responsibilities include teaching women’s health and/or orthopedics in the professional DPT curriculum, research, program assessment and service.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as program Director of
Women’s Health Residency Program, which includes an
interprofessional, pro-bono women’s health clinic.
Maintain active research and
scholarly agenda to meet qualifications for tenure and
promotion
Participate in service activities
at the university and affiliated organizations
Facilitate a work environment that
encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to
engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
Teach courses in women’s health,
orthopedics and other areas of expertise within the DPT
program.
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must possess qualifications and experience in operations,
financial management, and leadership to administratively oversee
all aspects of the Women’s Health Residency program
Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational,
problem-solving and interpersonal social skills
Outstanding clinical abilities with clinical knowledge and skills
related to practice and practice standards
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Opportunities exist to take a leadership role in the DPT
curriculum
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must be doctorally prepared (PhD, EdD, ScD).
Applicants with DPT and ABPTE Clinical Specialization Certification
in Women’s Health will be considered.
Must be eligible for Physical Therapy Licensure in AR.
