Open Rank, Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Organizational Behavior

 

Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois invites applications for an open rank tenure-track position in Organizational Behavior within the Department of Business Administration. Starting date is negotiable but no later than August 2022. Qualified candidates will have completed a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, Management or a related discipline by June 2022 to be considered for 100% full-time assistant, associate, or full professor. Applicants should have demonstrated strong research skills through refereed publications in premier journals and have a strong teaching capability.

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate academic excellence and leadership in research, teaching and service, serving this prestigious and well-respected area and the department. An ability to teach at graduate and undergraduate levels in the areas of technology management and management of innovation is required.  Experience with online graduate education is preferred. The department offers a uniquely hospitable environment for interdisciplinary work as well as the opportunity to work with talented doctoral students. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels
  • Maintain an active program of research and demonstrated teaching excellence in macro organizational behavior, technology, innovation, and management.
  • Perform service for the department.
  • Provide leadership in the department and the university.

 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD degree in Business Administration with specialization in Organizational Behavior, Organizational Theory, Management, or in a related field
  • Strong research portfolio
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
  • Leadership potential commensurate with position sought

 

SALARY:  Salary will be commensurate with rank and experience.

 

PROPOSED STARTING DATE:  Negotiable, no later than August 2022.
