MINIMUM PAY RATE : $15.13 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY
To provide a variety of clerical and secretarial duties requiring the exercise of discretion; to provide effective and efficient customer service assistance to students, faculty, and college personnel, and support to the Department Chairperson and/or staff members. Initiative and independent action in adapting work procedures to new situations are required. Work requires knowledge of the policies and procedures within the Department and College.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and type correspondence, documents, internal and external reports, tests and other related materials; make copies and distribute as required.
2. Compile data regarding class enrollments and enrollment trends as directed by Chair.
3. Receive and direct visitors, handle phone calls, take and relay messages, provide requested information, prioritize and distribute mail.
4. Assist with collecting, transferring, depositing, and verifying monies for all departmental expenditures; assist with maintaining accounting and related business records of operations.
5. Requisition supplies, including promotional items, and keep records of items ordered and received.
6. Assist with payroll for student workers, processing vehicle requests, facility use, direct pay vouchers, invoices, purchase requisitions, budget transfers, book adoptions, desk copy requests, work orders and service arrangements.
7. Assist all adjunct faculty in the department; conduct student evaluations of faculty.
8. Update and maintain department syllabi.
9. Provide back up support for departmental full time secretary as assigned.
10. Perform related duties as assigned.
