Job Summary
Prepares and maintains the university athletic fields for athletic events. Performs routine maintenance on athletic fields such as mowing, trimming and edging.
Essential Functions
Installs and maintains landscaping at athletic fields.
Renovates athletic fields by installing sod, pruning, top-dressing, over seeding, fertilizing, and applying pesticides.
Paints/stripes athletic fields.
Operates, repairs and maintains equipment such as mowers, tractors, weed eaters, trimmers, chainsaws and aerators.
Identifies turf disease and pest problems and applies corrective measures.
Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association ( NCAA ) and Southeastern Conference ( SEC ) regulations in the performance of job duties.
