Position Summary
Dallas College is seeking an experienced Research Analyst with a proven track record of applied labor market analysis for program alignment in higher education and a clear understanding of Economic Development. The Research Analyst reports to the Senior Director, Labor Market Intelligence Center and will be expected to:

1. Expand and utilize a college-wide Labor Market Intelligence Center, serving Academics, Student Success, Workforce, Advancement, and Operations functions

2. Manage ‘School of’ Reports and other data for district-wide analysis of career-connected opportunities for Dallas College students in the future of work in Dallas County

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Knowledge of the purpose of community colleges and the vision of Dallas College

· Experience managing several projects simultaneously

· Ability to collaborate on projects through planning and completion of various strategic projects within the Labor Market Intelligence Center

· Ability to identify and address opportunities and challenges that arise as a result of Dallas College’s current transition

· Ability to interact and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and constituents within the Dallas College community network

· Experience with labor market data tools and application of data to higher education and economic development

· Knowledge of college programs and offerings

· Knowledge of the Dallas economy, including employer and workforce needs and challenges

· Ability to analyze industry needs in relation to ‘School of’ programs and offerings

· Experience in economic development planning and initiatives focused on matching employers with skilled workers

· Demonstrated knowledge of principles of equity and inclusion and a demonstrated commitment to the promotion of diversity

· Knowledge of compliance with pertinent state and federal laws and regulations

· Knowledge of current research and policy recommendations as well as state and national initiatives related to improving economic mobility and opportunity for underserved populations

· Experience in strategic planning, assessment of program(s) effectiveness, and development of strategy to improve employer engagement

· Employ data-informed decision making and use predictive analytics

Physical Requirements

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree. Official transcripts required.

· Two (2) years of experience in economic development-related roles

· Two (2) years of experience working with local and federal industry data

· Demonstrated successful experience developing strategic partnerships to support economic growth through employer engagement, data analysis and application

· Demonstrated understanding and commitment to working across the community to create economic opportunities and living-wage jobs for underserved/marginalized populations

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Design and manage ‘School of’ reports for district-wide use
· Assist colleagues in creating career connections for students and resources for employers
· Maintain day-to-day and long-term labor market projects pertaining to district-wide initiatives
· Responsible for evaluating existing or new data documentation for accuracy, effectiveness, and quality
· Organize and integrate a comprehensive strategy for effective program offerings within the Schools that reflect strong economic development for Dallas county
· Apply advanced understanding and application of labor market alignment resources to support district-wide projects
· Make timely decisions to complete projects
· Knowledge and experience in providing effective and professional customer service
