Phlebotomy Instructor, Part-time
Healthcare Occupations Center, Lebanon, OR
Teaches Phlebotomy courses within the Phlebotomy Program. May also
teach a range of subjects including, but not limited to Medical
Terminology, Medical Law & Ethics, Anatomy & Physiology,
and Communication and Documentation.
Associates degree in a related health occupations area, plus a
minimum four year’s successful work experience as a phlebotomist,
medical technician, RN, or related field; OR a minimum of seven
years of experience in the occupational area; OR an equivalent
combination of relevant education and experience. Teaching/training
experience is preferred.
Must be ASCP certified Phlebotomist if you teach Phlebotomy class
within the Phlebotomy program
Teaching/training experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Applicants must possess a combination of academic preparation and
professional experience that demonstrates the ability to:
Provide instruction to phlebotomy students in either lecture or
Work with other faculty to develop curriculum. Evaluate and
recommend teaching materials.
Have the ability to teach a range of subjects including, but not
limited to Medical Terminology, Medical Law & Ethics,
Phlebotomy, Anatomy & Physiology, and Communication and
Promote student learning and skills attainment.
Maintain current skills and certifications as required by the
Oregon Department of Education and Health Division.
Work effectively with students and staff of various cultural and
socioeconomic backgrounds and ages and successfully interact with
supervisors, colleagues, and staff as part of an education
Communicate effectively in oral and written English.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
