Position Function
Under supervision of the head coaches of both Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving teams, provide support with coaching, meet management, organizing and administering the day-to-day operation of the swimming and diving programs; provide support with all team activities and responsibilities relating to the Ball State Men’s and Women’s Diving Team; develop and implement a season training plan for diving; coordinate and coach all diving practice sessions and competitive events; provide support with the recruitment of both swimmers and divers; provide support with the daily operations as it relates to the men’s and women’s swimming teams plus other athletic department issues; provide support with team fund-raising activities, community service activities, etc.; support the academic progress of student-athletes; and show commitment ot an responsibility for adhering to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference, and the NCAA ; and pass the NCAA certification examination on an annual basis.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment.
Minimum Experience
Previous coaching experience, competitive experience, and/or exceptional knowledge of diving.
Minimum Other
Certification in CPR / AED and First Aid or become certified upon employment; possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
