Schedule Information: 8:30am -5:00pm

Hours per Week: 37.5

Work Conditions: Work is primarily indoor and sedentary in nature.

Duties of Position: T rains colleagues on departmental documentation standards and procedures. Develops and maintains documentation in accordance with department standards.

Backs up the Senior Project Manager in assigning projects to the appropriate project managers . A dvanc es escalations through the appropriate chain of command, in the absence of the Senior Project Manager.

P ossesses expert knowledge of the current project management process and procedures and can easily advise other team members or IT staff with those procedures as requested or needed.

Facilitate s the intake of requirements and requests from the customer, and assignment of IT resources to projects.

Identifies and document s, as appropriate, key business requirements; utilize s data gathering methods such as interviews and questionnaires.

Works with the project sponsor, business lead and Information Technology resources to develop project requirements.

Vets project requests and/or requirements with IT management and technical resources to determine feasibility.

Work s with IT managers to identify and allocate project resources .

Applies routine project management skills and tools to the appropriate processes.

Recommend s solution s based on the evaluation of alternatives.

Develop s project plans, including project milestones, tasks and due dates – including the identification and documentation of IT resource consumption, assumptions, risks and costs.

Track s project tasks and milestones to a successful and tim ely conclusion.

Participate s or lead s project review forums within Information Technology.

Prepare s project management reports as required.

Develop s various forms of communica ting project management processes for College constituents.

Manage s vendor relationships as required.

Ensure s support and IT services are met as outlined in the Service Level Agreements.

Keeps abreast of project management technologies.

Perform s o ther duties as assigned.

Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or certificate in Project Management or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience.

Experience Requirements: 6+ y ears and background experience in business process analysis and/ or project management . K nowledge or experience in higher education is preferred. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with end users to meet project deadlines. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with users, pay attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and have strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and analytical skills required.
