An Invitation to Apply for the Position of

THE SEARCH

Bellarmine University seeks an innovative, collaborative, and strategic nursing professional to serve as Dean of the Donna and Allan Lansing School of Nursing. The Lansing School is among Bellarmine's best-known and most-respected academic units. It offers top-flight nursing education at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels and, with Bellarmine's emphasis on the liberal arts, graduates students who have a holistic sense of care and service to society. Bellarmine nurses are celebrated locally and regionally for their exceptional preparation and dedication to their profession. This is an opportunity to lead a proud and highly-regarded nursing program at Kentucky’s leading private university—and the premier independent Catholic university in the South.

Founded in 1950, Bellarmine has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report, Forbes, the Wall Street Journal, and others for its high academic quality, dedication to students, and community spirit. The University seeks to instill a commitment to lifelong education worthy of its namesake, Saint Robert Bellarmine, and his invitation to learn and live in veritatis amore—in the love of truth. With approximately 2,500 undergraduates, 800 graduate students, seven colleges and schools, and more than 70 academic programs, Bellarmine combines the student-centered focus of a liberal arts college with the breadth of a comprehensive university.

Bellarmine seeks a forward-thinking leader who is a trusted thought partner to the Provost, President, and senior leadership team; a bold thinker who strengthens existing offerings and conceives and implements new, exciting programs; an astute academic leader who can maximize resources and talent to fuel the ambitions of the School; and an energetic broadcaster who will advance a compelling case for Bellarmine and the School. The Dean will be a key voice on campus as the University continues to develop its strategy for nursing education, and expands connections across the city and beyond.
