Position Summary:

We are seeking an Outreach Specialist to support our statewide efforts to improve health and health equity through collaboration with diverse stakeholders statewide. This position will be within the Health Innovation Program, a program within the UW School of Medicine and Public Health that seeks to transform healthcare delivery and population health across the state and nation through health systems research that partners UW faculty with healthcare and community organizations. The incumbent will also support the ICTR Wisconsin Neighborhood Health Partnerships, a collaborative program within the UW Health Innovation Program to foster community change efforts through reducing barriers to learning about communities' health, acting to improve that health, and sustaining health improvements over time.

The Outreach Specialist will be committed to building partnerships with community groups and skilled in relationship building with diverse individuals and organizations. The Outreach Specialist should have background and familiarity with the UW-Madison and a strong desire to work with university partners from all schools and divisions. The Outreach Specialist should also be extremely organized, thorough, and skilled at task prioritization and time-management, and a strong team player.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's Degree in public health, biological, social sciences or health related required.
Masters degree in public health preferred

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum of two years experience preferred in health-related program planning and/or community outreach planning, and development.

Successful candidate will also have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and utilize discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information. Must be able to handle a fast paced, challenging, stimulating office environment.
