Summary of Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Serve as a lab coordinator for all Physics and Astronomy
Laboratories. This position is responsible for managing
student teaching assistants for all Physics and Astronomy lab
classes, teaching a limited number of undergraduate Physics and
Astronomy courses to possibly include General Physics 1, Brief
Introductory Physics, Physics labs, and Introduction to
Astronomy.
Duties include Physics and Astronomy instructional laboratory development, manage student teaching assistants, teach Physics and/or Astronomy classes and manage Physics lab equipment and inventory. In addition, involvement with professional organizations, student placement and participation in student recruitment activities is required.
Minimum Education Requirements:
A Master’s degree in Physics or a related field is
required.
