The Department of Modern and Classical Languages at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a full-time, clinical faculty position in French, beginning in September 2021. This is a non-tenure-track, renewable position.

Primary duties of the position include teaching a variety of undergraduate courses within the French major and minor fields as well as classes at the beginning and intermediate language levels. Teaching load of eight courses/year.  Innovative approaches to teaching, potential for or demonstrated excellence in teaching and the ability to use technology in support of pedagogy are essential. Secondary expectations include service (e.g., student advising, community engagement, etc.) and some professional engagement.  

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. preferred, ABD considered (with initial appointment at rank of instructor) Areas of concentration: generalist with the ability to teach courses in French and Francophone literature and civilization and/or French for the professions.
