Full-Time Faculty Position in Biology
The Department of Sciences and Mathematics at Simpson University invites applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor in Biology beginning August 15, 2021, pending budgetary approval. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach upper-division courses in cellular biology, genetics, and biochemistry, as well as introductory biology courses in the general education curriculum. A commitment to the Christian mission of a small residential liberal arts institution is essential.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in biology or a related field, with an emphasis in cellular/molecular biology, genetics, and/or biochemistry. All candidates should have the ability to teach both lecture and laboratory coursework. Evidence of teaching excellence, a promising research agenda, and a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity. Other responsibilities include advising undergraduates, curriculum design, assessment for degree program, and service to the campus and community.
