Woodbury University invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor to develop and pilot curricula for a new Construction Management program.

The School of Architecture’s BS in Construction Management is a new interdisciplinary program that develops skillsets for a changing world. This unique curriculum incorporates design and technology tools with environmental stewardship and traditional planning, coordinating, and supervising skills. Students earning a construction management degree gain knowledge and skills in design, construction, business, and digital tools to become leaders and entrepreneurs in construction and design-related industries. Delivered through a studio-based format, this program integrates design, computation, business and executive skills, sustainability and liberal arts knowledge with experiential, hands-on learning. We seek faculty whose scholarship, creative work, and research addresses the lives, experiences, and cultural traditions of Black, Indigenous, and communities of color to help build a program that expands technological access and authorship within underrepresented groups.

Faculty rank and salary are commensurate with teaching experience, professional background, and the degrees held. Contract renewal and rank advancement at Woodbury are contingent upon satisfying departmental and university criteria, which include effective teaching, meaningful engagement through creative work, scholarship, and service to the University. Woodbury University is a non-tenure granting institution.

The position begins in August 2021.
