Associate Director of the University One Stop and Call Center

Under the direction of the University Registrar, the Associate Director (Associate Director III) assists in the management of the Office of the Registrar and is responsible for managing work operations for the University One Stop and Call Center. The Associate Director manages calendars, scheduling and coverage for the unit; develops policies and procedures in accordance with university policies, goals and objectives; conducts staff-training in the provision of excellence in customer service to assist students, families and alumni; acts with the authority of the Director in their absence; and does related work as required.

The Associate Director is a key member of the enrollment services team who works in collaboration with other managers within the division to provide essential student support services and excellent customer service to prospective and current Kean University students, families and alumni. This position requires occasional travel to the Kean Ocean campus or other locations and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.

This is not a remote position and requires physical presence on campus five days per week or as determined by the Supervisor. It requires working on campus during the COVID-19 pandemic and interacting directly with students following all procedures and protocols set forth in the University’s Restart Plan and any procedures/protocols created through additional correspondence. The employee must have the ability to wear a face covering for the duration of the work day during the COVID pandemic or as determined by university protocol.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two years of professional experience in an institution of higher education in registrar, admissions, financial aid and/or a student services, customer service-based role is required. Master’s degree in a related field and five years of experience is preferred. Datatel/Ellucian software and retrieval experience is also preferred. Candidate must have e xperience in providing excellent customer service and e xcellent oral and written communication skills.
