The Computer Science Department at Rowan University invites applications for a Visiting Professor position to begin September 2021. This is a one academic year, 10 months temporary position. Candidates with expertise in Cyber-Security or closely related fields are encouraged to apply. In addition to regular teaching responsibilities focused on classes in the field of cybersecurity, the successful candidate is expected to assist in research programs involving undergraduate and/or graduate students, and to take a leadership role in the development and expansion of curricular programs in cybersecurity. The Computer Science faculty have opportunities to mentor graduate students and serve on thesis committees. At the time of appointment, candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field.

The Computer Science Department is one of seven departments in the College of Science & Mathematics and offers an ABET-accredited B.S. Computer Science degree along with an M.S. degree in Computer Science, a B.A. degree in Computing and Informatics, and an M.S. in Data Science. The Department is growing fast and in the recent years hired 6 tenure-track faculty, 5 lecturers, and three ¾ time faculty.

Rowan University is a doctoral institution with higher research activity (R2) with approximately 20,000 students. Its main campus is located in Glassboro, N.J., 20-miles southeast of Philadelphia, with a branch campus and medical school in Camden and a second medical school in nearby Stratford. Rowan is the second university in the country to offer M.D. and D.O. medical degree granting programs. The institution is home to the South Jersey Technology Park, which fosters the translation of applied research into commercial products and processes. Its business incubator also supports that mission. The University boasts seven colleges – William G. Rohrer College of Business, Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering and colleges of Communication and Creative Arts, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Performing Arts, and Science and Mathematics, as well as the School of Health Professions and School of Earth & Environment.
