Job Summary

The ITS department in the Harbert College of Business at Auburn University is searching for an Endpoint Support Analyst. Under minimal supervision, the person in this position is responsible for the selection, procurement, servicing, and disposition of endpoint technologies in a manner that helps the College achieve its strategic and operational goals. This position consults with constituents to identify and implement technology solutions to streamline processes creating efficiencies in workflows.

Essential Functions

This position will have the following responsibilities:

1) Manages the building, maintenance, and deployment of endpoint management systems. Sources, purchases, and deploys technology to customers to meet user needs. Ensures technology access is consistent across different user groups while ensuring the highest level of security. Stays abreast of emerging technologies to increase efficiencies. Develops and maintains standard operating procedures.

2) Provides consultative and technical support services to constituents to ensure timely problem resolution, system/data access, and optimal system performance. Proactively meets with stakeholders to determine technology needs for functions and events. Advises constituents in the Harbert College of Business with ways to utilize technology in efforts to streamline work processes to maximize efficiencies in workflows.

3) Analyzes processes and KPIs to measure performance against targets and identifies opportunities for improvement. Continuously evaluates processes for efficiency to enhance customer service opportunities. Collaborates with the Director to establish KPIs each year and modifies as needed to coincide with overall strategy of the department and College. On an ongoing basis, provides reports to leadership demonstrating that service level expectations are being met. Develops, implements, and oversees policies and procedures to ensure consistent service levels and quick resolutions.

4) Provides advanced support for desktop, mobile computing, and client technology. Serves as the subject matter expert in the department and resolves escalated issues.

5) Works with IT peers to develop more efficient ways to deliver technology services to customers. Participates in monthly meetings with peers across campus, as well as coordinating with other areas to develop economies of scale to resolve issues.

6) Mentors and leads junior employees.

7) Leads projects with budgets up to $25,000 and impacting up to ten users.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels

Level V requires a Bachelor’s degree and four (4) or more years of experience. Level V has a typical salary range between $60,000 and $75,000.

Level VI requires a Bachelor’s degree and seven (7) or more years of applicable experience. Level VI has a typical salary range between $73,000 and $85,000.

Minimum Technology Skills

Advanced knowledge of deployment, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of desktop computer hardware, operating systems, and application software in an enterprise environment. Basic knowledge of TCP /IP networks. Basic knowledge of Active Directory. Intermediate knowledge of A/V equipment and principles.

Minimum License and Certifications

- Experience in a higher education setting.
- Experience deploying and supporting desktop computer hardware, software, and peripherals in an Active Directory enterprise environment of 500+ devices.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in Information Technology or related field.
