Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication or related field.
  • Ten years of experience in the television industry.
  • Knowledge of TV production, programming, and broadcast technology.
License/Certification Required


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The primary purpose of this position is to oversee and maintain the daily operations of the AppTV channel.

Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Facilitates daily operations of the channel that is a teaching and learning lab.
  • Maintains commitment to on-air and online presence for the channel.
  • Partners with the Practitioner-in-Residence/Production Manager to set and uphold professional, ethical and legal standards.
  • Manages budget for the channel.
  • Organizes and oversees live events related to institutional partners.
  • Develops strategies for fundraising and development, and works with development officers on those strategies.
  • Performs outreach to supporters in the local community and beyond.
  • Maintains collaborative, collegial relationships with colleagues throughout the university.
  • Maintains AppTV’s PEG Channel status and all of its requirements.
  • Oversees the use of interactive platforms, including social media and online content.
  • Oversees marketing for the channel.
  • Teaches up to one course per semester.
