About the Opportunity:
Responsibilities:
The Academic Operations Coordinator is responsible for a variety of business and academic operation activities in the Graduate School of Engineering (GSE). Business operations responsibilities include managing the GSE budget through the oversight of unit transactions and creating a fiscal forecasting system. The Academic Operations Coordinator will also manage GSE operational logs and assist in space planning and management. This position will provide professional and strategic support to the Associate Dean for Graduate Education. He/she is responsible for managing all front office staff, including the Staff Assistant II and all of the student workers. This position manages the academic administration for the GSE including committee operations, student record accuracy, and academic data reports. The Academic Operations Coordinator will plan a roster of PhD events each year and will serve on the College's Graduation Planning Committee.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience in an academic or
business environment.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast pace
environment with competing deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to
detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and advanced knowledge of
databases and spreadsheets with the ability to learn new
systems.
- Event planning skills preferred.
