Visiting Assistant Professor

Cleveland State University invites applications for a one-year, full-time visiting position at the instructor/assistant professor level in economics beginning August 16, 2021. The successful candidate will teach applied econometrics courses in our MA program as well as undergraduate microeconomics or macroeconomics theory courses and other courses consistent with the candidate’s areas of specialization.

Completion of all requirements for the Ph.D. by July 1, 2021 is required for appointment as Assistant Professor; ABDs will be considered for appointment as an instructor.

Candidates must have a field of specialization in labor economics. Preference will be given to applicants with the ability to teach applied microeconometrics; who have a record or show promise of quality teaching and research; and who can help fill the department’s teaching needs.

Application requirements consist of a letter of application, current C.V., graduate transcripts, evidence of teaching effectiveness, samples of research, three letters of recommendation, and a statement explaining your experience serving diverse students and how you will make a positive contribution to CSU’s diverse community.

Final appointment is contingent upon maintaining existing levels of funding from the State.
