Assistant Director for Housing Assignment Services

 

University Housing at Coastal Carolina University seeks dynamic individuals for the position of Assistant Director for Housing Assignment Services (Student Services Manager I) reporting to the Associate Director of Housing Assignment Services. The Assistant Director for Housing Assignment Services will be responsible for leveraging current and emerging technologies to maintain business processes of multiple software applications, license agreement management, administrative computing, camp and conference administration, and marketing communications.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to: configuring and modifying software systems, testing innovations and upgrades, extrapolating data, and developing and implementing multifaceted reporting functions; managing projects of varying levels of complexity, confirming successful exchange of information, milestones, deliverables, operating procedures, follow-up, and completion; maintaining housing applications, license agreements, room assignments, meal plans, fees, and resident accounts; providing expertise regarding the integration and use of various software applications for Auxiliary Enterprises; coordinating the implementation, training, management, and use of the housing software solution, including card access systems; updating resources and maintaining communication for University Housing, including website and social media; modeling, promoting, and ensuring exceptional customer service delivery to all constituents; maintaining active involvement in professional associations; collaborating with colleagues and other constituents to accomplish departmental and divisional objectives and University goals; performing other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Housing Assignment Services.

Qualifications

 

Bachelor’s Degree and experience utilizing housing software (e.g., StarRez, RMS, etc.). Three-years of full-time employment in a college or university setting. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s Degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education or related field or advanced degree in Information Technology. Proficiency configuring and implementing housing software using SQL or domain specific language. Experience as a power-user for a housing software solution similar to StarRez.

 

The Assistant Director for Housing Assignment Services will work in a typical office environment and will participate in events and initiatives within the Division of Auxiliary Enterprises on behalf of University Housing, which may include participation in night and weekend programs and occasional travel. This position is considered “essential personnel” and required to participate in campus-wide emergencies such as weather and structural emergencies.
