Key Responsibilities
The Department of Information Technology and Computer Science at Juniata College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Computer Science beginning August 2021.
The position is a one-year fixed-term with possible renewal. We seek individuals who have a genuine interest in teaching within the small college, liberal arts environment. Teaching responsibilities may include some combination of introductory courses and upper level courses in such areas as computer organization, operating systems, programming languages, machine learning, artificial intelligence and big data. The teaching load for this position will be 21 credits.

Position Qualifications
Candidates should have a Ph.D. (by the time of appointment) in Computer Science or a closely related field. Teaching experience or promise of excellence in teaching is preferred. Willingness to teach data science courses is helpful. We strongly encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate through their teaching or scholarship that they can contribute to the diversity and inclusive excellence of our community.

This position reports to the Department Chair of Information Technology and Computer Science.
