Reporting to the President, the Vice President is responsible for
leadership in all areas under the jurisdiction of the Office of
Student Affairs, providing vision for the programs that will
enhance the student experience at the College, overseeing strategic
planning reflecting that vision, and supervising staff responsible
for implementing those plans. The Vice President also oversees a
close working relationship between the Student Affairs functions
and the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for
Academic Affairs to ensure coordination in all aspects of
activities related to the student experience at the College. The
Vice President is the primary liaison with student government
organizations, and represents Queensborough Community College at
all University functions related to student affairs.
The Vice President serves as a member of the President's Cabinet
and is Chairperson of the Counseling Department’s Personnel &
Budget Committee. In addition, the Vice President
serves as a member of the College (Faculty) Personnel & Budget
Committee, serves as chairperson of the College’s Enrollment
Management Committee, and serves as a member of the College’s
Student Behavioral Intervention Committee, Emergency Management
Committee, and the Higher Education Officer (HEO) Screening
Committee. He/she incorporates innovative practices into plans and
strategies and collaborates with other College and University
executives, and outside organizations, as needed, to develop
appropriate policy, acquire resources and provide for the
appropriate support for our students. He/she is a
dynamic leader of an executive team responsible for personnel,
budget, operations, and communications in the Student Affairs
Division.

Enrollment Management; Student Development/Conduct; Student
Financial Services, Admissions & Recruitment; Academy
Advisement; Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP); Career
Services; New Student Engagement; Services for Students with
Disabilities; Center for International Affairs, Immigration &
Study Abroad; Student Activities; Counseling; Military &
Veterans Affairs; College Discovery; Health Services; Advocacy
Resource Center (Single Stop); QCC Food Pantry; CUNY Edge; College
Science & Technology Entry Program (CSTEP); Student Government,
MALES, and Testing Services. The Vice President has
responsibility for overall compliance with all Federal and State
legislation as well as University policy regarding student-related
matters.
