Job Summary
The Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado at Boulder is encouraging applications for a junior software engineer to develop applications for use on NASA satellite missions.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Primary job duties include developing software for in-house applications used by our flight operations team, which include command & control, planning & scheduling, network automation, telemetry processing, and data handling tools. The work entails software configuration, testing, debugging, and deployment tasks as assigned. You will be responsible for following established software processes and compliance standards to maintain the high reliability of the software systems. In addition, you will work with other software engineers, systems engineers, scientists, and mission operations personnel to support the software throughout mission lifecycles, including instrument development and on-orbit satellite operations.

What We Can Offer
Salary Range is $74,000 to $96,400.

What We Require
- BS in Computer Science or related field.
- 2-4 years of professional experience.
What You Will Need
- Motivated to learn new languages and methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
What We Would Like You To Have
- Python language programming experience.
- C++ programming experience.
- Java programming experience.
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux terminal-based environments.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with Command and Control or Planning and Scheduling software.
