Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs

The California State University (CSU) System, the largest, most diverse university system in the United States, is pleased to announce its upcoming search for an Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs. This highly skilled and experienced educational leader will report to the Chancellor and will lead the division of Academic and Student Affairs, with a team of more than 140 employees. This position oversees 11 direct reports and a budget of approximately $80 million.

The CSU comprises 23 campuses and eight off-campus centers educating approximately 486,000 talented and diverse students and employing 56,000 world-class faculty and staff. Every year CSU campuses confer more than 125,000 degrees, and the university boasts more than 3.9 million alumni.

Chief among the initiatives spearheaded by the division of Academic and Student Affairs is the university-wide Graduation Initiative 2025, an ambitious plan to increase graduation rates, eliminate equity gaps in degree completion and meet California’s workforce needs.
