Job Summary

AMSTI -AU is looking for an individual to perform the duties of an Inventory Control Clerk. This individual will perform duties to assist AMSTI -AU with their kit modules and other duties assigned.

Essential Functions

The essential functions of this position are as follows: Refurbishes math and science kit modules using established procedures and within the projected rate, at the expected quality level; prepares training kit modules for all professional development sessions; accounts for completed refurbishment of kit modules during each cycle; maintains animal tanks, chemical containers, refurbishment supplies, and all items within each module refurbishes; distributes consumable and non-consumable module items into the refurbishment bins from bulk storage in correct pre-packed amounts; sets up facility for professional development training and other special meetings; reviews inventory list for each kit and build accordingly; pulls stock from the warehouse; and other duties as ssigned by business manager, site director, or ALSDE .

Minimum Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other staff members; ability to prioritize tasks; ability to drive a delivery van; ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis; ability to be organized and have attention to detail; driver’s license.

Minimum License and Certifications

Valid driver’s license to operate a delivery van, or the ability to obtain one prior to selection.

Desired Qualifications

Excellent organizational, time management, and social and communication skills are desired. The ability to work under supervision, in a team, as well as independently; efficiency in handling paperwork; the ability to multitask, deal with frequent interruptions, and perform additional assigned tasks on short notice; familiarity with Auburn University policies and procedures. Knowledge of what AMSTI is and does; knowledge of inventory management and some associated software used in inventory management; knowledge of saftey rules and regulations for warehouse operation.
