Full-Time Faculty Position in Mechanical Engineering

The Position

RIT Dubai is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a full-time faculty position at the level of assistant or associate prof in the Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Department in the area of Robotics and AI. Responsibilities include teaching, research, educational activities (course development, undergraduate and graduate advising, lab development), as well as professional service activities. The selected faculty is expected to start on January 2022.

Required Qualifications for the Position

• An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
• A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Robotics or a closely related area
• Ability to teach undergraduate courses such as Robotics, Dynamics, Kinetics, Kinematics, System Dynamics, and Controls.
• Ability to teach graduate courses such as Advanced Dynamics, Vibrations, and Robotics
• Ability to advise and guide MSc students working towards their theses
• Ability to advise and guide undergraduate students working towards their capstone projects
• Excellent communications skills

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior teaching experience in American or European universities
• Demonstrated industry experience in the field
• Active research agenda and a record of publications in reputable journals
