Responsibilities:
The Institute for Chemical Imaging of Living Systems (CILS) at Northeastern University is an exciting new initiative at Northeastern University in Boston. The goal of the institute is to develop new chemical detection modalities based upon nanosensor technologies that allow visualization and quantification of chemical processes in animals. The team is composed of 20 Northeastern faculty working to leverage emerging opportunities in nanoprobe development, advanced imaging modalities, probe delivery, in vivo electronics, and in vivo imaging.

About the Opportunity:

The Institute for Chemical Imaging of Living Systems (CILS) at Northeastern University is hiring an Executive Director to support the business development goals of the Institute. The Executive Director will collaborate on building the vision, strategy, and operations needed to establish external commercial or government small business support.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a significant background in developing strategic initiatives and/or evaluating early-stage technologies. Significant experience in technology transfer in a university setting is desirable. The candidate should be creative, flexible, and team oriented. Must be able to take initiative and see major projects to completion.
