Job Summary
The University Registrar is responsible for developing student records and academic support policy, philosophy and procedure to meet institutional goals and objectives and support the campus in accordance with applicable federal (including FERPA), state, and system-wide regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Identifies and implements the enhancements of the administrative student records and advising systems to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff. Plans and evaluates the University's processing of student registrations & records, transfer credit evaluations, graduation audits, athletic eligibility, and academic scheduling with an eye on eliminating student barriers. The position serves as the primary resource between Enrollment Services and the Advising Units for the development and coordination of services in support of student success initiatives. This position is the key advocate for the needs of students, academic departments, and academic advisors and provides leadership in the improvement of services and system functionality in support of those needs. In addition, this position supports the Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Services in the management of special projects and constituent relations.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to develop, interpret and apply academic and administrative policy, procedures and rules.
  • Thorough knowledge of student information systems and processes especially the student records and advising functionality in both PeopleSoft and e-advising systems such as EAB.
  • Ability to perform complex data analysis based on graduation, registration and enrollment trends.
  • Ability to manage and lead staff to complete complex projects using knowledge of student system technology, project management methodology and tools, strategic planning, and workload management.
  • Ability to develop project management plans and direct multiple simultaneous projects of a diverse nature.
  • Ability to negotiate and broker effectively with peers, faculty, students and subordinates.
  • Ability to partner and collaborate with ethnically and culturally diverse communities.
  • Ability to effectively manage a large team including the training, motivation and retention of talented staff.
  • Understanding and experience or education in the use of technology in the accomplishment of project objectives
  • Bachelor degree required. Master degree with preparation in relevant areas preferred. Experienced institutional policy, philosophy, and procedural leader with a minimum of 5 years equivalent related experience. Experience creating and implementing student-centered systems to meet student and institutional needs.

    Compensation
    Annual salary of $115,000 to $145,000 per year depending on experience.
