The School of Social Work seeks a faculty member to fill a tenure-track position at the Associate or Assistant Professor level with expedited tenure review for appointment at the Associate level. Early and mid-career faculty with proven records of research and teaching are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

A doctorate in social work or related field and an M.S.W. Candidates should have a defined research agenda, a strong record of publication commensurate with experience, and evidence of participation in funded research. Applicants also must have teaching experience with evidence of teaching ability and effectiveness.

Job Specific Qualifications

An ideal candidate has an active research program and an interest in conducting collaborative interdisciplinary research.

Responsibilities

The faculty member is expected to conduct an active program of research and publication, including seeking external funding to support research. Teaching expectations include teaching courses at the graduate and/or undergraduate level in an area consistent with one’s expertise; serving as a student academic advisor; and supporting student engagement in research. Service to the school, college, university, profession, or community also is expected.
