About the Opportunity:
The Assistant Campus Designer is responsible for various assignments that support the Senior Campus Designer's goal to promote innovative, sustainable design and brand consistency for Northeastern occupied properties. This position requires a high level of creativity, and the ability to be organized while working on multiple high-profile projects.

Responsibilities:
Assist with developing assessments for all NUGN Regional Campus Learning Hubs that consider options to satisfy project goals and program requirements. | Create and revise architectural documents using AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator. | Improve University Design Guideline by implementing annual updates generated by feedback received from project design teams and the Facilities Division. | Assist with the Architect Selection Process by updating design firm information, collecting and documenting feedback on firms to support RFP outreach and project award decisions. | Research and provide documentation to inform the creation of graphic designs that promote sustainability awareness goals. | Generate creative graphic communication materials and presentations to support the division with the development of the university master plan, departmental initiatives, communications, and project assessment evaluations. | Conduct research on incoming firms, design materials and trends to support campus design innovation goals. | Utilize e-Builder database platform to upload and retrieve project information to support design review process. Other Responsibilities: | Maintain and organize project information. | Engage firms and vendors to acquire information and coordinate meetings. | Attend project meetings; take meeting notes, and distribute. | Coordinate Campus Planning and Development website changes as required. | Provide general office and project support including photography, photocopying, deliveries, etc.

Qualifications:
Knowledgeable and efficient use of architectural software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, GIS, and Revit). | Demonstrated experience of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, with the ability to independently increase the knowledge in these programs and assist others as needed. | Familiarity with Archibus and e-Builder software. | Basic knowledge of building codes and regulations. | Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (And/or Google Docs / Sheets / Slides). | Clear and concise professional verbal and written communication skills. | Detail oriented with the ability to work with a high level of independence to set priorities and meet deadlines. | Positive attitude under heavy workloads, with an eagerness to take on varied projects and responsibilities. | Bachelor's degree or above in Architecture, Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a related field preferred, or a Bachelor's degree with significant coursework in planning and design fields. | At least 2 years of related professional experience, or 3-5 years in a combination of education and experience.
