Tenured/Tenure-Track: Assistant Professor in Environmental Modeling and Simulation  

The Department of Visualization, Environmental Modeling and Simulation, at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track, position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning Fall 2021. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Assistant Professor. The Environmental Modeling and Simulation cluster hire will include research and teaching interests in robotics, environmental modeling, and simulation.

This position is created as a part of a multidisciplinary, research-oriented, experiment-based cluster program between the Department of Architecture and the Department of Visualization. It will lie at the intersection of data-driven design, computer science, material research, and contemporary built environmental practice. The Department of Visualization expects candidates to have an established research agenda in computational design, with a specialization in areas such as architectural geometry, simulation, robotics, computational fabrication, parametric modeling, augmented reality, and immersive media/virtual reality, and other related areas of visual computing.

Qualifications

Successful candidates should have a Ph.D. in related fields and have an established research record.
