Indigenous History and/or Literature of the Western Hemisphere Guest Faculty
Sarah Lawrence College seeks a visiting faculty member for a part-time one-semester position in Indigenous History and/or Literature of the western hemisphere for fall 2021. We are particularly interested in candidates who can support the independent interdisciplinary work of students in Indigenous Studies. Any period in the history of the Americas, broadly defined, is acceptable.
Sarah Lawrence is a coeducational liberal arts college dedicated to individualized education. In addition to teaching small seminars of 15 students, faculty members meet biweekly with each student individually to work on a project culminating in a paper. Thus, we seek a person dedicated to developing the writing and critical analysis skills of their students. ABD required, PhD preferred by August 2021, in History, Literature or Native American Studies.
