Mercy College invites nominations and applications for a nine-month faculty position at the Clinical Instructor or Assistant Professor rank in the Nursing Program in the School of Health and Natural Sciences beginning September 2021. This is an opportunity to join an engaged team of professional and dedicated colleagues in a CCNE-accredited program that offered undergraduate and graduate degrees. We welcome dynamic educators to our team who want to make a difference in students’ lives and in their professions. Primary areas of emphasis includes teaching undergraduate nursing students. Responsibilities for the position include teaching in the undergraduate program, including psychiatric -mental health nursing and fundamentals of nursing. The Nursing Program places an emphasis on high impact teaching practices, integration of clinical and academic content, innovative clinical education experiences, providing direct clinical instruction, and advising students. Mercy College is a nonsectarian, nonprofit New York metropolitan area institution offering over 90 undergraduate and graduate programs. The College has an enrollment of approximately 9,000 students from diverse backgrounds across four campuses in Westchester County and New York City. As Mercy College proudly serves a diverse student body and is a Federally designated Hispanic-serving institution, faculty are dedicated to providing students with access to a transformative education through academic quality and robust student support. To encourage faculty growth, we offer a host of professional development opportunities to deepen their knowledge of evidence-based practices.
