Position Summary:

This position involves coordinating clinical research trials for the University of Wisconsin Department of Dermatology. The primary duties of this job involve the daily oversight of clinical research trial activity of subjects enrolled in clinical research studies. Travel to offsite locations may be required to perform study-related procedures. This position will report to work and work under the general direction the Clinical Research Administrator of the department along with principal investigators for each assigned research study.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required; preferably in health care, biological, physical or social sciences.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

1-2 years working in a research or clinical trials environment preferred.
Experience in approaching patients to discuss clinical trials, their potential participation, and obtaining informed consent preferred.
Demonstrated experience in scheduling, coordinating, and conducting visits and study meetings preferred.

Additional Information:

-Prefix assignment will be determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of seven years of experience is required for appointment at the senior level.
-This position will support multiple locations, including UW Health West clinic, UW Health East clinic, One South Park, UW Medical Science Center, and William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital to transport study materials and biological specimens, and to meet patients at study sites on narrow schedules.
-This position is covered by the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and a background check will be conducted.
-TB testing and up to date immunizations record will be required at the time of employment.
