Position Summary:

The Dean of Students Office (DOSO) within Student Affairs serves the university faculty, staff, parents, community members and most importantly, students in helping students be successful. The Assistant Director/Bias Response will focus on responding to issues on bias and hate in and outside of the classroom, supporting students that have experienced bias and/or hate and representing the Dean of Students and Dean of Students Office on campus and in the community.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

A Master's degree is required at the start of the position.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of related experience working in higher education

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience responding to incidents of bias and restorative processes
- Experience working with faculty on classroom issues of bias and hate
- Experience responding to media inquiries
- Strong facilitation skills
