The Psychology Department has 38 full-time faculty members (34 doctoral, 30 tenure-track) with master's programs in Experimental, Industrial-Organizational and Human Resource Management, and School Psychology, as well as a newly launched Doctor of Psychology Program in Clinical Psychology (established Fall 2019). There are more than 1000 undergraduate psychology majors and approximately 80 full-time graduate students.

The new hire will be affiliated with the Experimental Psychology MA program , which includes 14 tenure-track faculty members. The program aims to prepare graduate students for doctoral programs or to directly enter the workforce. In recent years, the program has begun developing two specific areas of faculty expertise—developmental and judgment and decision-making. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will demonstrate how they will contribute to the Department's diversity, equity, and inclusion goals in the areas of research, teaching, and/or service. The successful candidate will teach 3 courses per semester which may include a combination of undergraduate and graduate courses. Undergraduate courses may include social psychology, research methods, and other courses according to need and/or interest. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a program of empirical inquiry to include peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and external grant applications. Candidates will be expected to involve undergraduate and graduate students in their research programs. Preference will be given to candidates with a commitment to undergraduate education and to creating pedagogical and empirical collaborations with other faculty. Physical Demands of Position
