Description of the Department or Unit

The Department has 37 full-time faculty members (31 tenure-track) with graduate programs in Clinical, Experimental, Industrial-Organizational and Human Resource Management, and School Psychology. There are approximately 1200 undergraduate majors and 80 full-time graduate students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The College of Arts and Sciences at Appalachian State University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor in Social Psychology position in the Department of Psychology. This is a one academic-year appointment . The starting date is August 16, 2021. The faculty member will have primarily teaching responsibilities in the Department, including 4 courses each semester (Fall 2021 and Spring 2022). Courses may include survey of social psychology for non-majors, social psychology for majors, and research methods in psychology, among others. The salary will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
