About the Opportunity:
The Khoury College of Computer Sciences at Northeastern University is looking for a research scientist to help with research and development in the areas of cyber security and graph mining.

Design and implement scalable graph algorithms for analyzing application dependencies and identifying points of failure in system infrastructures.

Perform analysis of infrastructure resilience to failures and cyber attacks. Implement methods to improve an infrastructure's resilience and conduct experiments on realistic datasets.

Engage with industrial collaborators to demonstrate the practical applicability of the developed software and the potential for technology transfer.

Participate in regular meetings to present results to industrial collaborators.

Solve cutting-edge research problems, produce innovating results, and participate in paper writing.

Design, implement, perform experiments. Write documentation for complex programs and detailed reports on system architecture, design, and experiments. Prepare documentation for external users as required.

The position is affiliated with both the Cybersecurity and Privacy Institute, as well as the Network Science Institute at Northeastern University.

MS in Computer Science

Previous research experience in machine learning, data mining, and/or graph algorithms

Strong programming and software development skills

Excellent communication skills
