Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering: Assistant/Associate Lecturer to teach undergraduate courses beginning Fall Semester 2021. Responsibilities include teaching foundational courses in mechanical and manufacturing engineering; advising undergraduate students; and providing professional service to the department, college, and institution, as well as professional societies as appropriate.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or manufacturing engineering with a master’s degree in engineering or education. At least five years of experience in industry as well as demonstrated experience teaching and mentoring undergraduates. To be appointed to Associate rank, the candidate must have three or more years of full-time higher education teaching experience.

This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.)

Consideration may be given to candidates with greater than 5 years of industry experience in design or manufacturing; experience advising student projects and teaching laboratory-based engineering courses.
