The Department of Industrial Studies is looking for a dynamic, full-time, tenure track faculty member in Industrial Studies with an emphasis of Safety in Manufacturing and/or Construction Industries.

Responsibilities for this position include observable dedication to undergraduate education; enthusiasm for professional engagement with students in and out of the classroom; and ability to work with colleagues in a collegial environment to prepare grants, conduct research, and seek external funding. Applicants will also have a demonstrated ability to interact with industry.

A Master’s degree pertaining to construction safety or occupational health safety is required.

One of five units within the College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture, the department has eleven faculty members and about 471 students with up-to-date laboratory facilities and equipment in Russell Hall.  The department offers a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology Management with emphases in Manufacturing Technology Management and Occupational Safety Management, a B.S. degree in Technology Education and a B.S. degree in Construction Management with emphases in Construction Management and Construction Safety Management.
