Position Summary:

The Department of Statistics is adding a new member to our student services team. This position will assist with advising in the new Data Science certificate and serve as the lead for undergraduate and graduate program recruitment. We are looking for individuals who are excited to help students navigate their educational experience, work in our collaborative environment, and help our department with its continued growth.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required and Master's degree desirable, in statistics, data science, computer science, math, engineering, science, counseling, educational administration, educational psychology, curriculum and instruction, higher education, or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidates should have experience in or exposure to higher education providing academic advising, supervising, and/or mentoring to students, program coordination, or teaching.
- Candidates need to be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Candidates should have experience with event planning and logistics.

Desired Qualifications:
- Candidates should have excellent interpersonal, teamwork, written and oral communication skills, as well as keen attention to detail and precision, excellent organizational skills, ability to work and complete tasks under deadline pressures, high degree of initiative and resourcefulness, and proven success and effectiveness in working both independently and in a team.
- Strong professional skills required and some data science knowledge a plus.
