Position Summary:

This assistant scientist position will be working with Dr. Weiping Tang and is responsible for the design, synthesis, purification and characterization of bioactive small molecules and compound libraries. The assistant scientist will also assist the Director of Medicinal Chemistry Center (MCC), Dr. Weiping Tang, on managing the MCC. Other duties include collaboration with lab members, involvement in writing grant proposals and manuscripts, and mentoring students.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. in organic or medicinal chemistry, or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Three years of postdoctoral experience in the area of organic and/or medicinal chemistry.
