Position Summary:
Recreation & Wellbeing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a dynamic, energetic, goal-oriented, and innovative leader within the field of higher education and collegiate recreation. The Coordinator of Operations is a full-time employee under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Operations. This person is directly responsible for the operational oversight and safety of the Nicholas Recreation Center. They will directly oversee all the hiring, training, and development of approximately 100 operations student employees. They will assist the Assistant Director of Operations with the development of the annual budget. This individual works directly with professional and student staff to plan and coordinate activities and assess problems and develop solutions. Primary hours will be Monday-Friday 7:45-4:30, but flexibility to work nights and/or weekends when needed is required.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree in recreation, sports administration, higher education, or related field is required. Master's in similar or related fields preferred.
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
A minimum of two (2) years professional experience in a collegiate recreational sports setting is required. If applicable, Graduate Assistantships years are accepted. Demonstrated leadership, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
