Position Summary:

The Department of Medical Microbiology and Immunology is looking for an Associate Research Specialist to join the Sauer Lab to support research focused on host pathogen interactions, antibiotic development, and/or tumor immunology.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree in the Biological Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related field is required by time of hire. Current undergraduate students with spring 2021 graduation dates are welcome to apply.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year of research experience required. Undergraduate laboratory research experience is acceptable. A strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry is also required. The successful applicant will possess a desire and demonstrated ability to learn new techniques. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in microbiology, immunology, mouse models of infection and/or mouse colony management.
