Interview and assist clients with applications for Emergency Medicaid. Screen for Perinatal Access Program eligibility. Create a medical record and enter data into Cerner and IDX . Schedule appointments for PAP patients and relays information to patients. Communicates with staff at local agencies and organizations regarding client applications. Notifies approval/denial of Medicaid to VCUHS Financial Screening/Billing.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in Spanish, both oral and written. Must have strong extensive knowledge of Medicaid regulations/policies. Excellent communication skills. Strong organizational skills, time management, and ability to meet deadlines. Experience with patient interviewing and basic medical terminology. The ability to work in a diverse environment is required.
