New Mexico Highlands University. The Department of Sociology. Anthropology and Criminal Justice invites applications for a part time term instructor position in Criminal Justice beginning August 2021.

Duties and Responsibilities

Faculty contractual duties include, but are not limited to, teaching, holding office hours and advising students. The teaching load is 15 credits per academic year.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: (1) M.A. or M.S. in criminal justice, criminology, sociology or a related field, (2) demonstrated/potential excellence in teaching and (3) experience teaching hybrid/online courses.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications: (1) PhD in one of the aforementioned disciplines (2) experience teaching criminal justice courses online, (3) previous success working with diverse student populations and (4) experience using D2L/Bright space and Zoom.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The candidate must be prepared to teach online synchronous and asynchronous courses. The candidate must be prepared to hold office hours on a regular basis and work with Admissions on recruiting initiatives.
